A registered trademark or an application pending for trademark registration can be declared abandoned by the Registrar for lack of renewal or non-compliance of the office order from time to time. An abandoned trademark is a dead trademark which has been expunged from the Trademark Register. However, on limited occasions, an abandoned Trademark can be restored in the Trademark Register.
